Gameday Registration - $25 Prologue
The SoCal Airsoft Classic is a day dedicated to bringing back airsoft to its original roots: fast, fun, team-based games! Throughout the day, players will have the option to sign up for action-packed, mission-based airsoft games held on Velocity's beautiful landscape in the Ramona countryside. Each field has a different terrain and a different set of objectives. There is no right or wrong choice, and players can choose which games they'd like to play and with whom. Missions range from Payload, Hoard, Elimination, Detonation, Capture, Combination, Barrage, and Airstrike. |

Team Designation
Each starting location has a set of colored bands that players will be required to clip (via D-ring) onto their main trigger finger's shoulder or chest. For example, if you mainly pull the trigger with your right hand, clip your team color on your right shoulder or chest. Once the game has ended, players must unclip their team ribbon and return them back at the pickup location. Respawn Rules Most games will have a single respawn point that is only accessible to the applicable team and cannot be "spawn camped" by the opposing team. Markers will indicate how close an opposing team can get to a respawn point and will be unable to go past it or it is considered "spawn camping". The respawning team, however, may fire from within that respawn location. Objectives will be far away from any team's respawn that such a situation will be very rare and only if players and uncooperative, at which point the Ref will warn them. |
Missions
Missions will be 30 minutes MAX and usually take place in a single round, unless otherwise noted below. Each 30 minute game will have multiple objectives, in case the primary objective were completed, secondary objectives will still be available for teams to complete. Elimination ("1 and Out") - Single elimination, usually taking place in a smaller field. Games last no more than 8 minutes and will be replayed for 3 rounds. Payload - A single object will be fought over between two teams. The objective will be to deliver the object to a designated Payload Area. Generally a suitcase-type of object is used. Detonation - One team is tasked with taking a bomb and detonating it at one of two bomb sites while the other team is tasked with protecting both sites until time runs out. Hoard - Piles of cash will be placed in a location on the field, possibly more than one. Players must grab ONE STACK AT A TIME and place them in their respective collection boxes. At the end of 30 minutes the score is counted and a winner announced. Capture - A simple Capture the Flag game. Protect your flag while trying to capture the opposing teams flag. Combination - Players must traverse the field and access 3 placards that contain a number. Players must use all 3 numbers to open a combination lock that contains the gem and bring it back to base. Players have the option of completing the objective or waiting for the other team to access it, eliminate that player, and take the gem for themselves. Mastermind - Players must access a crate that contains a password that must be read phonetically over a supplied radio to the Mastermind. The Mastermind will read you back the combination to the lock. Access the lock, sound the horn to win. |

FAQs
What is the minimum age requirement to play?
10 years old. Minors under 18 MUST have a parent sign a waiver on their behalf.
What safety gear is required?
ANSI-rated eye protection that fully seals around the eyes (no shooting glasses), HARD lower face protection (soft protection such as shemagh or balaclava not accepted but may be worn over hard lowers), barrel plug or cover, red "dead man" rag.
Minors MUST have ear protection due to insurance purposes.
Velocity limits?
Rifles/SMG/Primary Weapons - 420fps with .20g bb
Sniper Rifles (fixed semi-auto or bolt action) - 500 with .20g bb
Pistols/Shotguns - 420fps with .20g bb
"Bang Bang" or "Surrender" rule?
There is no "Bang Bang" rule, as too many people abuse it, and it has 100% accuracy (highly unrealistic). Players have the option of ordering a "surrender", in which the opposing player calls themselves 'out' and respawns. Surrendering isn't required, and if a player exercises this rule, there may be a time in which the opponent may not want to surrender and may turn and fire.
What's a "Parley"?
'ello, poppet -- Imagine if you and another player turn a corner, guns raised, and immediately are within a foot from each other. DON'T SHOOT. You'll inflict an enormous amount of pain to one another. This is when "parley" comes in handy. It's a temporary truce between the two of you so that you both can escape and retreat. Once 'parley' has been called by both parties, turn around and hide! Once you can't see each other, start shoot'n! Now you can get shot by anyone from anywhere at any time, so exercise this with caution.
Explosives rule?

What if my eye protection fogs up in the middle of the game?
If this were to happen, DON'T TAKE OFF YOUR EYE PROTECTION IN THE FIELD. You run the risk of being shot in the eye. The best thing to do is to quickly exit the playing field to a safe area where eye protection isn't mandatory, fix your eyes, then head back in.
What if there's an immediate medical emergency?
If a players eye protection "magically" comes flying off, or if a player is severely injured, the phrase "BLIND MAN!!" is called out and echoed throughout the field. At this point, gameplay halts and players must stand still. The person seeking attention is then escorted off the field by a ref or tended to on site. Once the problem has been taken care of, "GAME ON!!" is echoed and gameplay resumes.
I've got an awesome foam sword I'd like to attack someone with. What are the melee rules?
Ahh yes...the coveted 'melee kill'. A right of passage for many. Another day in the office for some. A simple *tap* will do. You can also two-hand-touch someone for a melee kill. No fists, no daggers, no overly aggressive moves. We're here to have fun, not get into a fight.
